June Trip #2 – Warsaw, Poland

A tad late but better than never I guess. #weekendgetaway

Wizzair had a sale (buy one get one free) and so we quickly jumped on and picked a random spot where we both wanted to visit. Warsaw, Poland. The summary of our trip.

Day 1 – Friday: Late night arrive at 12PM. Headed straight for apartment we booked via bookings.com and tucked ourselves into bed. Whole place was decked out with Ikea stuff!

Day 2 – Saturday: We headed straight for the breakfast market (which was quiet as I think it was more of a lunch market); then made our was down through the riverside via the presidential palace, through old town all the way to the city centre. Stopped at a cool souvenir store that sold bowls.. I LOVE BOWLS!

Day 3 – Sunday: made our way to breakfast and then attempted to go to a museum but ended up distracted with a random fashion show, shopping and food.

Weather was super warm with the sun out but had a bit of rain here and there. People were friendly but English wasn’t their strong suit. Food and Accommodation was super affordable so you can visit Warsaw if you’re on a budget.  This place is full of history, so if you’re a history buff, we definitely recommend taking a walking tour and visiting museums.

Warsaw is the sprawling capital of Poland. Its widely varied architecture reflects the city’s long, turbulent history, from Gothic churches and neoclassical palaces to Soviet-era blocks and modern skyscrapers. As Poland’s cultural hub, Warsaw has a thriving nightlife and music scene, both classical and underground. After near-total destruction in WWII, Warsaw’s old town was faithfully restored to its pre-war appearance.(Courtesy of Google)
